What Agents Are Saying....
Penny was referred to me by my
long time insurance agent per
chance while checking on how to
insure my home for staging. At
the time I had consulted with a
company who wanted to stage with
the stipulation that they would
use it to sell their own
furniture from my home. After
looking at six homes they had
staged I realized there was no
individual attention given, no
uniqueness to their
decorating/staging.
Penny was interested in doing my
home as a personalized project.
Not selling or profiting from
sales and retailing. Which of
course made all the difference?
She was excited about helping me
and genuinely wanted to get my
home sold. She listened to what
I wanted and made excellent
inexpensive suggestions that
ultimately made a huge
difference! I know for a fact
that my home sold for more money
in large part because of the
staging! Money well spent,
period.
Sincerely,
Mark Young

I
just wanted to let everyone know
about a great web site I have
found for those in the Real

place where you can share ideas
and network for FREE! The
message boards are phenomenal
and the people represented on
this site seem to really believe
in giving and sharing...
What is "Active Rain Real

The
Big Picture
Thanks to cable shows such as
HGTV's
Designed To Sell and
A&E's
Sell This House are
becoming aware of how important
preparing ones home for sale
(staging) can be. They are
learning that virtually any home
can be transformed with fairly
minimal work & that professional
stagers can really add to their
bottom line.
Ironically most industry
professionals have a beef
with these shows. While
these shows do seek to
educate the average consumer
to the needs of staging they
forget to give many
important details of the
process which leads them to
unrealistic expectations and
most often sticker shock
when hiring a professional.
These fantastic
transformations come with a
camera crew, carpenter,
electrician, staging
professional and eager
homeowner ready to pick up a
paint brush or jackhammer if
needed. In addition to these
"un-reality" concepts, they
don't mention the cost of
any of these services and
only note cost of materials.
$2000 TV transformations
ignore the $2000-$3000 in
professional fees.
While the average staging
job performed is less than
1/2 of 1% and completely
transforms the home, both
sellers and agents need to
understand that the process
(and cost) are slightly
different than what they see
on TV.
See what changes pay off the
most...
